My interest in Therapeutic Massage has led me to earn advanced certifications in Neuromuscular, Deep Tissue, Myofacial and Sports massage, as well as Massage Cupping, Reflexology and Kinesio Taping. I look forward to working with you to reduce your pain, improve your health and increase your quality of life.
As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer I have expanded my practice to bring my clients out of pain and into a more functional capacity.
NMT is a specialized form of manual therapy that utilizes static pressure on specific myofascial points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body (muscles, tendons and connective tissue) to balance the central nervous system.
Kimberly has always had a passion for health and well being and began her training in 1991 at Central Connecticut State University working towards a degree in Health and Wellness. In 1999 she graduated from the Humanities Center of Massage Therapy located in Pinellas Park, Florida. She is licensed in the state of North Carolina and Certified by the National Certification Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy. Kimberly recently graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor's degree in Communication. As a physically active mother of two, Kimberly understands the importance of overcoming chronic muscular pain and dysfunction, and therefore has the desire to care for individuals with sports related injuries and men and women that lead busy lifestyles.
Kimberly holds advance certifications in Neuromusclar Therapy and Myofacial Release. She is also certified in Prenatal Massage, Massage cupping and Kinesio Taping.
Recently Kimberly received her Personal Training Certification through NASM - National Academy of Sports Medicine. This will allow her to continue to educate her clients about ways to continue their therapy at home through stretching and exercise, and provides individual consultation regarding everyday pain management.
